Staff and people were nice. Ten minute walk across the street to a wonderful Lowe’s Supermarket with anything you could imagine. We couldn’t, but the Opry looks like a nice evening show and everything in walking distance. We were not here in the warm weather though, and I don’t know how the access to the beaches were.
Great facility. Dock hands were the best I have seen. Very courtious and informative. When we docked, we did not have to do a thing, they tied us up and made all of our hookups. Even got a free bottle of wine!
Very good experience. Dockhands really excellent and the staff is quite friendly. Even got a free bottle of wine when I registered! Courtesy van gave me a ride so I could do some grocery shopping.
We are here- 9-3-09 -for the 2nd time from about 1 year ago. Came up from Isle of Palms, SC– about 100 mile trip. Marina at Grand Dunes is Great!! Dock hand Adam is friendley and knowledgeble. Boat US discount for 1.75/ft– includes power, wifi, cable, etc. Have not gone to Ruth Cris’s or Anchor Cafe, which is overlooking- literally- the ICW, but will tomorrow. Docking is EASY since no current at all. Definately recomend Marina at Grand Dunes.

We stayed at Marina at Grand Dunes for 4 days and enjoyed the peace and quiet, dog friendly, beautiful pool, clean facilicities, and very friendly, accommodating staff. The docks are great and it is very well protected marina. There was no courtesy car, but the hotel van will take you to their private beach. We rented a car while we were there. We would definitely stay there again. It was like a mini vacation!

Just to let you know, We docked our 57′Selene Andale’ at the Grand Dunes Marina and we have stayed more than a month. Mrytle Beach is a quick bike ride. The staff and dock hands are so pleasant. The chef flew in a very large lobster so so my husband could get his taste of Main. What a wonderful place. We have been cruising for over 1yr. now and this is the very best on the ICW.

My wife, dog, and I have been at Grande Dunes for almost a month. The time has come for us to go South. We will miss the Marina as we LOVE the Marina. It has a Cafe overlooking the ICW called Anchor Cafe.

Claiborne,
My wife Leslie and myself stayed at the Grand Dunes on two occasions on our cruise to Charleston and back to Wrightsville NC this past May. The facilities are outstanding and the service is equal. It is an easy entry, fuel pumps to your port as you enter. The dock hands are extremely courteous, and the office manager Janet Roop does all she can to make you comfortable. There is a wonderful waterway Deck Restaurant that overlooks the ICW on the property. It was wonderful to walk in the marina office after struggling a bit from our first Tropical Storm and be welcomed as we were. I highly recommend to all.

Marina at Grande Dunes is the nicest marina that we have ever stayed at in our 15 years of boating. A MUST STOP. The dockmaster is Captain Bob Strickland. He and his staff
David, Chad, Greg, Paula, and Cathy were AWESOME!
My wife, dog, and I have never written a thank you note to a marina for outstanding service. Guess what…we wrote our first thank you note to the Marina at Grande Dunes.

Hello
A great stop is Marina Grande Dunes MM 357 in North Myrtle Beach. NICE people
Morning paper – a few Sweet rolls, Coffee, Juice, Pool, CLEAN showers and restrooms, BIG laundry, Pump-out boat, Anchor Cafe over looking the ICW.
We ran from: Chas. 464 to G’town 403, G’town 403 to Marina Grande Dunes 357, Marina Grande Dunes 357 to Southport 309
Three nice short days and good restaurants near by.
No connection, other than Palmetto Moon has put Marina Grande Dunes in our TOP 10 as a must stop.
As always YMMV
Oh yes, NICE people
safe travels
Jim
Grand Dunes Marina in Myrtle Beach, SC; stayed several days here. Great facilities, Ruth’s Chris steakhouse and small bar/restuarant overlooking the AICW. Close to several attractions – Dixie Stampede, Carolina Opry, etc. Quite reasonable with resort amenities, $2/ft, a free courtesy van with driver, and a complimentary bottle of wine upon check in. Again highly recommended
Best regards,

Grande Dunes Marina, Myrtle Beach. Clean, modern , , , courteous and the overnight dockage comes with a decent bottle of wine and free wifi. For steak lovers: There is an earlybird special at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and if you reserve through the marina, you get $25 off the special price.

South Carolina- Marina at Grande Dunes is the BEST marina we have stayed at. With a Boat US discount they are very resonable and give you a bottle of wine upon arrival, free muffins for breakfast, free courtesy van (till 5:30), pump out service that flushes your tank and very friendly service. We stayed there 2 nights and hated to leave.
