The “Boat Show Marina” Burned in a 5 hour fire on July 25th 2003. The fire destroyed almost all of the covered slips and a lot of boats too. A new owner from south Florida bought the place and changed the name to St. John’s Marina. The restaurant is still closed. Shady Oaks [nearby restaurant] is right on the river just on the other side of the Whitehair bridge. They serve a good fish sandwich and cold bear. Some outdoor tables in a screen room right on the waters edge are available. Great little spot on the water.

It this marina is charging $2.50 a foot , they are WAY out of line. I think this may be the worst marina on the St. Johns.!
The St. Johns marina is open, however the restaurant is CLOSED, and has been for some time.
There is a small marina with a restaurant at Astor Bridge Marina, just South of the Astor Bridge. We’ve eaten here several times and the food is always good.
We just cruised the St. Johns River to Sanford and returned. We never saw a “Boat Show Marina” anywhere near the location on the RDB north of the Whitehair bridge. There is a marina at that location named the St. Johns River Marina. Perhaps they’ve changed their name.
