Cruising News: Skull Creek Marina (mm 555) now has free WIFI available! The marina recently installed a new antenna system and upgraded the service. Another reason to make Skull Creek the overnight stop in the Hilton Head/Savannah/Beaufort area!

Stayed at Skull Creek Marina for 2 nights. Decent depths, don’t remember the exact #’s but we draw 6′ and didn’t have any problems. Bit of an older facility, could use a facelift but everything was clean. Only one washer and dryer and the washer wasn’t working while we were there. Riding our bikes to the nearest shopping/dining area was about a 10-12 mile round trip thru a very pretty gated community. Had lunch at a steakhouse called Frankie Bones. Couple of other restaurants in the shopping area along with a Harris Teeter grocery store. Heard there was a nice restaurant somewhere with-in dinking distance but never did find it.
