Canaveral Barge Canal, with a single 600X90ft lock, crosses Cape Canaveral and Merritt Island and intersects the Waterway at statute mile 894. Our thanks to USACE Specialist Erika Skolte for this Notice.

Canaveral Lock – 4 Hour Lock Closures For Maintenance:
Notice is given that Canaveral Lock will have a series of 4 hour closures to support electrical maintenance Monday through Friday, 9 through 19 October 2017, 7:30-11:30 a.m. and 12-4 p.m. Closures will be based on contractor progress and safety needs. This maintenance is required to replace damaged electrical wiring needed to operate the lock structure.
For up to date Canaveral Lock information contact the shift operator at 321-783-5421 between 6 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.
