We spent 6 days at Riviera Marina Village in early April, 2017 and was pleasantly surprised! A number of years ago we heard it was in a sketchy area and wasn’t sure what to expect……………head there, it’s fabulous!! The marina itself if brand new, spic and span clean, and pristine.

Staffing: The staff working the marina are aware of the comings and goings of everyone in the area and provide great insight and assistance getting to/from the dock area on little carts if needed (we didn’t as we were right by the bulkhead). The ladies and gentlemen in the office couldn’t be nicer! They were so accommodating when I needed to print my boarding pass for my flight home and – being techno challenged – they took it all in stride and got me set to return home (sadly). They were just so warm, friendly and outgoing……..not found in all marinas along our trip.

Restaurant: The tiki bar just opened a few days prior to our arrival (thank heavens!) and it was good. The food was quite good, but the servers/management were still ironing out the kinks in the service…..taking the order was prompt, getting the food was prompt, getting the check…………not so prompt!! One server insisted on calling each of us ‘sweetheart’ (my pet peeve) and the other server insisted on flipping her very long hair (my other pet peeve). ….maybe it was just me? No, don’t think so….both are needed, especially around food service.

The restaurant will do really well there once they iron out their kinks. Another thing……tell the people entering the dining area from the marina of the happy hour in progress……we had NO IDEA it was B1/G1 free drinks while we were there and it wasn’t offered to us……we saw the only sign as we were leaving from the other parking lot entrance…oh well.

All in all, try this marina out………plenty of available slips, easy entry in and out and a really cute little eco island (Peanut Island) just across the water for snorkeling and having fun in your dinghy.
