Inlet Marina just opened with new fuel tanks installed for unleaded 89 octane gas with no ethanol and of course diesel. They currently are just a fuel stop but they are supposed to have their new restaurant opened on May 15th, called Beaches. This marina used to be the old Sea Love marina which was closed last year sometime then bought and is now permitted for 60 slips (not yet built), but they do have two floating docks, one concrete and one wood and a fuel dock. There is also a boat rental operation already there. They have a nice beach area near the dock office also. There is a lot of area behind the marina office which is planned for development with a Publix grocery planned as part of the complex and they are supposed to have a grocery delivery operation for the marina if folks want to get provisions while fueling..that is to come. The new owners are taking it slow but are committed to the new operations success. The Marina is very close to the St. Augustine inlet and on the AICW. So it is very convenient for cruisers to stop in for fuel.Transient Moorings in Miami at Coconut Grove Sailing Club, 24 hour launch & security, Short walk to Coconut Grove, Daily & Monthly Rates

I have always enjoyed Hollywood as an alternative to Fort Lauderdale. I always try to stay in Hollywood when engaged in a boat project or taking a class at the Maritime school in Ft lauderdale.

We spent a few weeks at the City of Hollywood Marina and really enjoyed the area. It is 10 miles north of Miami and 10 miles south of Fort Lauderdale. We rented a car and explored the area. Hollywood has one of the best beaches and boardwalks on the east coast. Hollywood is a throwback to Florida before the 30 story condos took over the entire shoreline. Great bakery just across the ICW.

Stayed here several times. Nice marina, clean , fixed docks, walkable across bridge to old florida area, with bars, stores, beach walk, etc.
Rates higher in $ea$on, than summer.

Been here several times, has season and off season rates. Take a walk across the bridge to the beaches and shoreline shops and walkway, it’s a piece of old Florida just south of Ft. Lauderdale.
Several fun bars on the waterway, and a quick shop , all acesable by boat or dinghy.

We have always been comfortable at Hollywood municipal marina: Hollywood: Hollywood Marina, 700 Polk Street, P.O. Box 229045, Hollywood, FL 33021

Call ahead, they don’t have lots of free slips, but it is convenient and secure. You can rent a one-way car from the local Enterprise, be picked up at the marina and drop the car off at the airport, though there is a one-way drop-off fee usually.
There are lots of marinas in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area which you can find on the Web with just a search for Miami, FL marinas
