LNM: Gulf of Mexico, Hazardous Operations, May 7, S of Fort Walton Beach, FL
FL – GULF OF MEXICO – U.S. Air Force Hazardous Operations
The U.S. Air Force will be conducting munition launches in the Gulf of Mexico, in an area between 12 and 52 nautical miles south of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The primary date for the scheduled operation is May 7, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Back-up dates for the munition launches include: May 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, and 17, 2024.
The hazard area in the Gulf of Mexico will be bound by the following approximate positions:
30-14-00N 086-48-00W (30°14.0000N / 086°48.0000W, 30.233333 / -86.800000),
30-09-30N 086-25-00W (30°9.5000N / 086°25.0000W, 30.158333 / -86.416667),
29-31-00N 086-25-00W (29°31.0000N / 086°25.0000W, 29.516667 / -86.416667) and
29-32-00N 086-48-00W (29°32.0000N / 086°48.0000W, 29.533333 / -86.800000) .
All vessels are required to remain clear of the hazard area during the mission periods. Hot range advisories and broadcast notice to mariners will be
transmitted via VHF-FM Channel 16 and on HF Upper Sideband 2182 KHZ, by the Eglin Joint Test and Training Operations Control Center (call sign:
Wolfcall).
