[EXPIRED] Pinellas Bayway Northern High-Rise C Span nearing Completion, Western Florida ICW Statute Mile 114
Pinellas Bayway northern “C” span crosses the ICW at Statute Mile 114, north of unlighted daybeacon #25, south of St. Petersburg. Our thanks to Skipper Julie for updating us on the new 65ft vertical clearance available (see LNM below), despite the fact that the construction is not yet complete.
Structure C bridge is now a fixed bridge, 65′.

Pinellas Bayway C now looks like this, obviously not completed yet. It is published in the Local Notice to Mariners; but I thought you would enjoy the photos better.

FLORIDA – GULF INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY – TAMPA BAY TO ANCLOTE – PINELLAS BAYWAY “STRUCTURE C” BRIDGE:
Bridge Construction/UPDATE.
The Pinellas Bayway `Structure C’ Bridge across Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, St. Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida is being replaced with a high-level fixed bridge. This project is anticipated to start on December 15, 2011 and is expected to be completed by July 15, 2014. This work will require some waterway restrictions and closures. Vessels passing through this area are requested to contact the on-scene tug on VHF-FM channels 13/16 f or passing information.
The main beam has been set across the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway and the vertical clearance at this location is 65 ft at Mean High Water. The old bascule bridge has been removed. LNM: 08/14 Chart 11411
