    • [EXPIRED]Angelfish Creek, January 2011 Depth Report (Biscayne Bay to Hawk Channel)

Moving south from Miami, Angelfish Creek is the first really practical inlet that skippers of cruising sized craft might consider to cruise from Biscayne Bay/the Florida Keys Inside Route to Hawk Channel, or the other way around. For the past five years or so, there have been rumors of an underwater “rock” on the Hawk Channel side of this passage, near the channel’s edge. Some have reported finding this hazard the hard way, while others have sworn it was not there at all. Looks like our fearless roving reporter, Captain Jane, had good luck here!

Our January 2011 update for Angelfish Creek: We favored greens 1, 2, 3. And favored the reds 6 to 14. No problem for us at 1.3 above MLW. We draw 5 feet. The lowest we saw was 7 feet at the entrance near Green daymark 1.
