[EXPIRED] Barges Anchored at Both Ends of Sunshine Parkway Bridge, West Florida ICW Statute Mile 99
Operators of smaller vessels running the shallow waters at the bridge ends during early morning and late evening hours need to be aware of the large inspections barges in place at both ends of the Sunshine Parkway Bridge which crosses Tampa Bay/ICW passage at Statute Mile 99, east of flashing buoy #1A.

The Coast Guard has been advised that ICA plans to begin water work involved with the inspection of the trestle spans at each end of the Skyway Bridge on August 4, 2014. Equipment involved in the inspection that will be in the area of the bridge will include a 140′ barge loaded with two 86′ lifts and served by a 47′ barge and a 21’ crew boat. It is anticipated that the inspection will continue through most of the month of August and that the barge will be spudded down and the lighted equipment will overnight near the bridge.
