    • Brickhill River Southern Anchorage Navigational Detail

If you are southbound, cruise CAREFULLY through the Cumberland Dividings AICW Problem Stretch (see /aicw-channel-through-cumberland-dividings). Enter the southern mouth of Brickhill River, abeam of marker #60A. BE SURE TO FAVOR THE NORTHWESTERN AND NORTHERN SIDE OF THE CHANNEL until the river makes a swing to the north. Shallow water abuts the southern banks, on this southernmost stretch of Brickhill River.
After cruising through the stream’s swing to the north, pick out any likely spot with enough swinging room for your vessel, and drop the hook within shouting distance of the centerline. Plum Orchard Plantation will be spied along the eastern banks, where chart 11489 shows high ground marching down to the shoreline.
