Marker #29 lies at the southern foot of Key West’s Man of War Harbor channel, north of Key West Bight, and west of Fleming Key Cut. This passage is often used by vessels on their way to and from Key West’s “second” marina facility on Garrison Bight. The channel here is wide, but there are only a few other aids to navigation in this area, and NOTE THE EXPOSED STEEL PILE LEFT BEHIND (see below). ALL KEY WEST MARINERS NEED TO NAVIGATE THESE WATERS VERY CAREFULLY TO AVOID THIS HAZARD. Hopefully #29 will be re-installed SOON!

Garrison Bight Channel Turning Basin Daybeacon 29 (LLNR 15085) is destroyed and the remains of the steel pile protrude approximately 1ft above the waterline. A temporary lighted buoy with Fl Q G, 4M is marking the remains. Mariners are advised to transit the area with extreme caution. Chart 11441
