Restaurant Recommendations: on-site grill closed for the season as of 10/10/11 – 707 Diner (843-215-7707) and Delaney’s Dog Haus (“best cheesburgers in the world,” 843-650-8336″) will deliver food to the marina parking lot – normally nearby Scatori’s Italan Restaurant (843-650-3370) will pick up and return cruisers to the marina, but local bridge work has closed direct access to this restaurant. This bridge/road work is now scheduled for late December, 2011 completion.
Provisioning Possibilities: well stocked ship’s/variety store on-site – marina staff can usually provide transportation to a local supermarket 3 miles away, or local taxi service is available

Special Note: after extensive renovations, including new docks and power connections, both Bucksport Marina and its on-site restaurant reopened in the fall of 2011, under new ownership and management. During a personal visit in early December, 2011, we were VERY IMPRESSED with this facility’s fresh, new look, and the “can-do” attitude of their management. After many years as a rather sad marina, Bucksport should now be once again on all cruisers’ radar as a good place to spend a night or two (or more)
