Foul Weather Shelter: Very good; only unusually strong northern winds will give any sort of problem
Dinghy Dock Access: dinghies can be landed at a landscaped park and set of launching ramps on the river’s southerly banks, south of the 7-foot swing bridge
Nearby Provisioning: One Stop Grille (126 Grubb Street, 252-426-5081) is found within walking distance of the launch ramps/riverside part. This establishment is what might be accurately described as an “enhanced convenience store.” There’s plenty in the way of drinks and snacks, but don’t look for fresh produce or meats.
Pet Friendly: pets can be taken ashore at the landscaped park and set of launching ramps on the river’s southerly banks, south of the 7-foot swing bridge

Nearby Provisioning: Edenton’s downtown/historic district lies within easy walking distance of the dinghy landing specified above. Unfortunately, neither a grocery nor convenience store is found within walking distance.

Here you can tie up your dinghy and easily walk to the downtown historic/business district. You can dine at the Garden Spot Cafe (124 W. Water St., 252) 793-3600) and take a historic walking tour
Nearby Provisioning: Unfortunately, for real provisioning, you will have to hike a mile to the south, to Highway 64, where you will find super markets and drug stores
Pet Friendly:pets can be walked in a public park behind the dinghy docks described above
