Buck Island/Goose Pond Anchorage – Navigational Detail

Those cruisers who choose to spend the night on the unnamed creek east of Buck Island, which leads to charted Goose Pond, set course from marker #157 toward the stream’s large mouth. Depths run 5½ to 8 feet at the approach but quickly decline to 5 feet past the entrance, as the creek begins a swing to the north. Don’t cruise upstream into the creek’s turn to the northeast, leading to Goose Pond, as 3- and 4-foot depths are soon encountered.
