Old Barge Depot Anchorage – Navigational Detail

Cruisers bound for the anchorage on the northernmost section of Turners Cut, should enter the southern mouth of this sidewater on its mid-width. Don’t cut any corners.
Watch for an old bulkhead which will come abeam on the western banks. Drop the hook at any likely looking spot abeam of this old dock.
Do NOT continue upstream to the bulb shaped northern terminus. Depths become suspect in this most upstream region of the canal.
