[EXPIRED] Construction Barge Traffic on the St. Johns River Between AICW Intersection and Jacksonville Could Interrupt River Cruising (near AICW Statute Mile 740)
This construction project is being staged approximately 6 nautical miles west of the Waterway’s intersection with the St. Johns River in northeastern Florida. While it will not inconvenience traffic on the AICW, cruisers bound upstream to Jacksonville or other St. Johns River port of calls, should be on the lookout!
FLORIDA-JACKSONVILLE-ST JOHNS RIVER-DAMES POINT-BARTRAM ISLAND: Bartram Island Cell `A’ Raising and Cross Dike Construction Project
Brance Diversified will be moving equipment and supplies back and forth from Cemex Facility to Bartram Island at (30 23′ 48.58’N/81 34′ 40.17’W). Beginning on or about October 8 until approximately March 1, 2013 there will be a push boat `Renée’ 26’x14′, and a barge MB 606 128’x 38′. The hours of operations will be daylight hours only Monday-Friday anywhere from 7:00am to 5:00pm. The POC for the project is Mr. David May further information call (904)742-7562.
