As stated below, this marina construction is a half mile north of the Great Bridge Locks and because of men working on floating barges, a NO WAKE passage is required.

Hodges and Hodges Enterprises will be mobilizing on November 30, 2015 to build a small community six slip marina with pavilion on the Elizabeth River a half mile north of the Great Bridge Locks. On site there will be a 35’x120′ barge with a 50 ton crane on board and a 60′ tug JESSE LEE. Work hours will be from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday until January 15, 2016. Mariners are requested to transit the construction area a bare steerageway due to men on work floats constructing the pier. Chart 12253 LNM 47/15
