This entrance channel dredging is essentially off-shore, east of the Charleston Harbor and the Waterway.
SOUTH CAROLINA – CHARLESTON HARBOR AND APPROACHES – CHARLESTON ENTRANCE – CHARLESTON HARBOR: Maintenance Dredging of Shoals 2 through 7.
Manson Construction Co. will commence dredge mobilization in the Charleston Entrance, Charleston Harbor approximately 16 December, 2016 until approximately 28 January, 2017. The Dredge GLENN EDWARDS will monitor VHF channels 13, 16 and 66. Operations will be conducted 7 days per week, 24 hours per day, approximate area of operations from Charleston Harbor Channel Lighted Buoy 9 (LLNR 2375.5) to Lighted Buoy 16 (LLNR 2410). Vessels transiting the dredging areas should reduce speed and exercise caution in the vicinity of the dredge when it is in the channel.
