Clearwater Pass is a heavily traveled channel that connects the Gulf with the Gulf Waterway and Clearwater Harbor.

FLORIDA ‘“ TAMPA BAY TO PORT RICHEY – CLEARWATER PASS CHANNEL ‘“ CLEARWATER BEACH: Dredge Operations
Gator Dredging will commence dredge operations on or about September 15 until approximately November 30, 2016 within the Clearwater Pass Federal Navigation channel, east of Clearwater Point. A hydraulic swing dredge will be used from a shallow draft barge with submerged pipeline to the dewatering site located under the 699-Gulf Blvd Bridge or the vacant upland property immediately west of the bridge. The only floating pipeline is 500′ directly behind the dredge to allow for dredge mobility. The pipeline will be marked and lighted per USCG regulations. Mariners are urged to use extreme caution and transit the area at their slowest safe speed to create minimum Wake. See enclosure section for maintenance dredge area.
