Range C and this emergency dredging are in the inner harbor of Morehead City where the southbound Waterway turns west into Bogue Sound.

NC ‘“ MOREHEAD CITY HARBOR- EMERGENCY DREDGING
Mariners are advised that the Southern Dredging Company will be conducting emergency dredging in Morehead City Harbor in Morehead City, North Carolina between Range C channel markers R 24 and R 28 at the Aviation Fuel Terminal piers on Radio Island commencing on or about February 20, 2015. The Dredge BRUNSWICK will operate on a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week basis until approximately March 7, 2015. Dredged material will be transported by a submerged and anchored dredge pipeline across the bottom of the Range C channel to the Brandt Island disposal site. Mariners are requested to stay clear of the dredge and to exercise extreme caution when approaching, passing, and leaving the dredge area and plants. To ensure safe passage in the vicinity of the operation, boaters should establish contact with the dredge BRUNSWICK on VHF marine channels 13 and 16. Chart 11547 LNM: 08/15
