Fun, Fall Events Blow into Elizabeth City Fall Events
There are plenty of great reasons to visit Elizabeth City, but if you travel this fall you can watch fast and sleek moth boats skim across the Pasquotank River, cheer for the hometown football team, shop for one-of-a-kind crafts and help solve a local murder. Looking for a good time? Look no further than Elizabeth City!
Oct. 24-26, 30-31, Nov. 1 | Much Ado About Murder
Rich (but rotten) Carlton enjoys punctuating the lives of his family with macabre little surprises. His latest joke is a Halloween party in which guests arrive as their favorite Shakespeare characters. When he is found dead in the study, audience members are invited to inspect the scene and pose questions to find out “who dunnit” in this Halloween-inspired presentation. Shows play at 7:30 p.m., except for a 2:30 p.m. matinee, Oct. 26, at Arts of the Albemarle’s Maguire Theatre.
Nov. 1 | First in Flight Festival
Free airplane rides for kids, vintage aircraft on display, a visit from the famous “Candy Bomber” and chocolate bars that fall from the sky? Oh yeah! The young and young at heart can let their spirits fly at the First in Flight Festival at the Elizabeth City Regional Airport.
