Staniel Cay Yacht Club would be the perfect stopover on your way to attend the George Town Cruising Regatta, because they get very high marks from cruisers, as in /?p=126893, and, after all, they are a SALTY SOUTHEAST CRUISERS’ NET SPONSOR!!
Dear Cruisers,
Welcome to the 35th Annual George Town Cruising Regatta to be held starting February 19 – 28, 2015 . I am proud to serve as Chairman for this year’s regatta and we are going to have a great time.
Our Theme for 2015 is “Return to Margaritaville” so dig out those flowered shirts, coconut bras and go buy a parrot. Our Opening night and Variety Show will again be held with the George Town people in Regatta Park. I know you can put an act together to show your talents or just make a fool of yourself like I did last year.
We again have 3 races for the Cruisers as well as a Rally to Long Island to enjoy another beautiful Family Island of the Bahamas. Post Race Parties will be at the sponsors resort. Even if you don’t want to race your boat, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy.
Our Regattas are successful because everyone helps out. Tell your friends, let your local boating newspapers know and come on out and have fun.
Looking forward to seeing you all again in George Town in 2015.
