[EXPIRED] LNM: Inspections Underway at Alligator River Bridge, AICW Statute Mile 84
A call to the project director confirms that Alligator River Bridge will operate normally and the inspections should NOT impede navigation. The Alligator River Bridge crosses the Alligator River section of the Waterway at Statute Mile 84, south of flashing marker #12, just south of where the Waterway exits Albemarle Sound.
NC – INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY – ALBAMARLE SOUND TO NEUSE RIVER – ALLIGATOR RIVER – BRIDGE INSPECTION
An engineering firm, on behalf of the North Carolina Department of Transportation, will be performing an inspection at the US 64 Bridge, over Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (Alligator River), mile 84.2, near Columbia, NC. The inspection will be conducted from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Monday to Friday on June 5, 2017 through July 5, 2017. A 27 ft. work vessel will be operating under and in the vicinity of the bridge to provide access for inspection. The vessel may be reached on VHF-FM channel 16.
