      Reviews from Cruisers (4)

      1. Claiborne -  March 12, 2010 - 10:50 am

We have spent 2 1/2 months in the City Marina. We were lucky to get a mooring right away although there are good places to anchor if the moorings are full when you arrive.
The marina staff couldn’t be nicer and are very helpful. Laundry facilities are frequently very busy but it’s a good way to met fellow cruisers while waiting your turn at the 6 washers and 6 dryers (when all are working). There are plenty of activities like yoga, tennis, softball, crafts, games and music. Two large areas for dinghy parking are provided. It’s a mile walk to grocery shopping but West Marine has donated several shopping carts that you can take from the marina to the store and back for those larger shopping trips.
We would definitely return here another year.
        Larry and Suzi

        Web Cam: Boot Key Harbor
        Marathon, FL Keys
        by Charmaine Smith Ladd
The Marathon City Marina has installed a web cam which pans Boot Key Harbor from east to west. Check it out. Awsome!
An article is forthcoming on the newest improvements being made by the Marathon City Marina. The newest amenities include a new bath house, laundry facility with new machines operated by debit card.
Even the landscape has changed at the Marathon City Marina. With the addition of a beautiful tikki hut and stone picnic tables placed in the large area immediately south of the Marina Office. It’s a great place to gather, watch the sunset, and just kick back and relax!

        Security Cameras Installed at
        Marathon City Marina
        Boot Key Harbor, Marathon FL
It was announced this morning that the long-awaited security cameras have been installed at the Marathon City Marina, Boot Key Harbor, Marathon FL Keys. They are UP and ON. This wil go a long way to help thwart opportunists from going bump in the night!
I’d like to thank Harbormaster Richard Tanner and his wonderful staff at the City Marina for their constant diligence in their quest to keep Boot Key Harbor a very special and wonderful port to frequent.

Update on the new showers/heads in Boot Key Harbour. They’re open for testing to evaluate the process of key cards, etc now! The official opening of the showers/heads and new laundry room should be soon to follow… And a picture or two from the harbour, and of Kittiwake
        Peace and Fair Winds,
