Great location, terrible amenities. Four toilets, over 400 boats, you do the math. Laundry pathetic. What internet? Keys? A cash cow marina that does not care about its residents or their boats. Shawn in the office was very disrespectful and dismissive, and yes i am the owner, a woman!

I forgot to add this excellent marine supply store which probably no visitor would know about. It is located a few blocks south west of the Harborage Marina and has recently changed locations. Thanks

I almost always docked at the Municipal Marina in downtown St. Petersburg, but this last time there was no transient space and we stayed at The Harborage. Incidentally you can make reservations at the Municipal Marina now. I found the Harborage Marina to be a really nice place. The floating docks are much nicer than those at the Municipal Marina and the people are really nice too with WiFi coverage over the entire marina. The dockage cost is almost the same too. Many think it is too far away from downtown St. Petersburg, but they have a nearly free Trolly that takes you all around the city for 25 cents if you are a senior and it it comes by about every 20 minutes. You have to walk about two blocks to get to the nearest Trolly stop near the USF student center which also has a nice cafeteria. The Trolly is fun to ride and you learn a lot about the history of the city. Another nearby resataurant is at the private airport which is excellent. Just north of the airport is the Saturday morning market and Salvadore Dali Museum and professional baseball spring training and Mahaffey Theater. There is a nearby Publix super market and drugstore too. With the Trolly no restaurant is more than a few minutes away. A short distance from the marina is Salt Creek jammed packed with many of the best repair facilities in west FL and the fuel dock. To find this marina look for the USCG station which is about 2 miles south of the Municipal Marina and has its own channel into Bayboro Bay which is well marked.

I had three consecutive annual contracts in Harborage until October 2007, I was leaving on a 12 month offshore cruise in May 2008 and asked if I could have an extension until then. This was refused on the grounds that ” we only do 12 month contracts” and at some inconvenience I had to relocate for six months. I had never been in arrears and had caused no “trouble”. I completed a transatlantic circuit and you can be sure that I put every one I met who expressed any interest in western Florida in the picture about this and can only hope that this marina now adopts a more customer friendly policy.

We have kept our boat at Harborage Marina for the past 8 years, and are now liveaboards. We have a nice mix of seasonal, occasional and liveaboard boaters. We love the floating docks, great swimming pool, on site restaurant and many other amenities. We are within walking distance of downtown St Pete but much quieter than the Municipal Marina. Bayboro Harbor is very well protected and has easy access to the bay. We do not have as much rocking during rough weather as our friends @ other downtown marinas.
Highly suggest you check it out.

We left our boat for a month at The Harborage in St Petersburg which is on the Tampa Bay side of the penninsula. Nicely protected and security gates. Close to many attractions in St Pete. Reasonable rates in Dec of 2009.

When cruising in the St. Petersburg/ Tampa Bay area, The Harborage Marina at Bayboro Harbor is a great stop. The marina is owned by Marinas International and is maintained to their demanding standards.
Dock master Michael Dudzik is one of the friendliest around. Radio him on VHF channel 16 for docking instructions. This is one of the few marinas that are protected by a breakwater pier to keep the waters calm. The transient dock is a long floating dock for side to docking.
The entrance channel is well marked and adjacent to the Coast Guard Station. You can’t miss it.
Facilities at the marina include a boater’s lounge, restrooms with showers, laundry facilities and a pool and picnic area. Fuel and pump-out facilities are also available to transients. There is long term storage available for those who wish to leave their boat in the area.
The marina is located on St. Petersburg’s waterfront with convenient access to the Salvador Dali museum and the 25 cent bus that will transport you around the city. You are within walking distance to shopping areas restaurants and grocery stores.
