[EXPIRED] New Topsail Inlet Dredging Extended, near AICW Statute Mile 270

New Topsail Inlet intersects the Waterway via Howards Channel at Mile 270. The inlet dredging operation should not impede Waterway navigation. Banks Channel near New Topsail Inlet should not be confused with popular Banks Channel in Wrightsville Beach.
NC ‘“ TOPSAIL INLET ‘“ TOPSAIL CREEK ‘“ BANKS CHANNEL DREDGING OPERATIONS UPDATE
Dredging operations within Topsail Inlet, Topsail Creek and Banks Channel has been extended until 15 April, 2015. The pipeline will be placed from the dredging location to the Topsail Beach. The Dredge CHESAPEAKE will standby on channels #13 and #16 VHF-FM. Operations continue to take place 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Traffic should call 30 minutes prior to expected time of passage.
