[EXPIRED] Notice of an Application for the Construction of a Bridge Crossing Navigable Waters
This new fixed bridge would replace the Sisters Creek Bascule Bridge at Statute Mile 740, north of the intersection of the Waterway and the S. Johns River.
All interested parties are notified that the Commander, Seventh Coast Guard District has received an application from the Florida Department of Transportation, District Two, requesting approval of the location and plans for the proposed construction of a bridge to replace an existing bridge which crosses a navigable waterway of the United States.
WATERWAY AND LOCATION: Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AICW), mile 739.2, also known as Sister’s Creek approximately 0.3 miles north of the confluence with the St. Johns River, at Jacksonville, FL. The proposed fixed bridge will replace a bascule lift bridge on Heckscher Drive (SR105) between Pine Island and Fanning Island, Duval County, FL.
