Pembroke Creek/Edenton Downstream Anchorage – Navigational Detail
Posted by Claiborne | Posted on 07-23-2012
From marker #8, cruisers also may choose to turn west on the waters of Pembroke Creek. The well-marked channel holds minimum 6-foot depths, with typical 7- and 8-foot soundings. To enter the cut, set course to come abeam of marker #1 to its fairly immediate northerly side. Continue on course, pointing to come abeam of marker #3, also to its northerly side. From #3, set a new course to come abeam of and pass marker #4 to its immediate southerly side.
If you choose to make use of the anchorage west and north of #4, cruise carefully off the channel and feel your way along with the sounder. Remember that some 4½-foot depths can be expected in this haven.
