Bridge fender repairs will be in progress from December 20, 2012 until October 31, 2013 on the US 421 Fixed Bridge at mile 295.6 on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. To facilitate repairs a crane barge will reduce the available horizontal clearance in the navigable channel from 100 feet to 60 feet.
