Florida boating industry optimistic about Tampa Boat Show, largest event in six years
The 2014 Progressive Insurance Tampa Boat Show is set to dock at the Tampa Convention Center & Harbor September 5-7, and visitors to the Bay Area’s largest boat show can expect to see more product and innovation this year, including several U.S. product debuts. The 2014 event, which will host more than 200 exhibitors and 500 boats for sale, is expected to be the largest in six years and is nearly sold out.
`The Progressive Insurance Tampa Boat Show continues to expand, and we’re excited to be offering the largest selection of boats and exhibitors we’ve had since 2008,’ said Larry Berryman, show manager. `This growth is a great sign for the industry, which supports nearly 1,500 boating-related businesses in Florida, a state that generated nearly two billion in sales last year. Our Tampa showcase is one of the best, and we are looking forward to a successful year supporting the region’s marine businesses while providing visitors an ideal setting to discover boating.’
The 2014 boat show is featuring the Discover Boating Hands-On Skills Training series, piloted at the 2011 event, in addition to several other seminar programs aimed to drive buyers.
