[EXPIRED] LNM: Target Practice Extended, Moored Target Area Southwest of Panama City
Naval exercises continue in the area of Panama City/St Andrews Bay and associated offshore waters.
FL – GULF OF MEXICO – PANAMA CITY BEACH – Naval Operations – UPDATE Continuing until approximately April 28, 2017, the U.S. Navy will conduct test operations in an area approximately 12 nautical miles southwest from the mouth of Panama City Pass, Florida. The Navy will be placing moored targets at various depths from the surface that will pose a hazard to navigation. The center point of this target field is in approximate position 30-07-50.70N 085-57-56.82W (30°7.845N / 085°57.9468W, 30.13075 / -85.96578). The targets will be placed in the water column at various depths from the surface to the bottom. The hazard area will be marked with 8 lighted hazard buoys. The M/V TYSON B will beon-station during the entire time to further ensure and warn vessels of the hazards to navigation.
