      Update on City Facilities & Services

      Wednesday, September 13, 2017 – 2:30 p.m.
      As power is restored in the City of Gulfport, the following City of Gulfport programs, services, and information will become available for Thursday, September 14, 2017.
      The Gulfport Multipurpose Senior Center will be open at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 14 with the following limited services. Senior Center members are advised to call (727) 893-5657 with class and programming questions. The Gulfport Extended Minibus Service will be operational on Thursday. The Fitness Center area of the facility will continue to be closed until further notice, due to air conditioning and electrical issues in that segment of the building.
      The Gulfport Recreation Center will be re- open tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. The City’s After School and Tot Time programs continue to be in coordination with the Pinellas County School system. Staff will be on site at 5730 Shore Boulevard South starting Thursday to answer any specific questions. Additionally, residents can call (727) 893-1068 for Recreation Center information.
      The Gulfport Casino, Catherine A. Hickman Theater, Scout Hall, and the 49th Street Neighborhood Center will remain closed on Thursday for event activities.
      The Marina is open for Marina patrons to inspect their vessels. The Marina has not sustained any damage. The Municipal Marina Ship store is presently closed due to lack of power.
      The Gulfport Public Library will be closed on Thursday pending restoration of power from Duke Energy.
      At this time, the City of Gulfport Public Works Sanitation services are operating normal sanitation pickup routes. In addition to normal garbage and yard waste collection, the City will provide additional resources to address debris collection as residents recover from the storm aftermath.
      All City of Gulfport offices and facilities are scheduled, at this time, to reopen when Duke Energy restores power to these municipal facilities. Please stay tuned for City post-storm updates through local media, city website or city social media. The City of Gulfport Citizens Call Center will re-open tomorrowmorning at 8 a.m. to assist you with post-storm updates. Residents can call (727) 893-1000 with questions.
