      With a fixed vertical clearance of 50ft, the DuPont Bridge crosses the Gulf Waterway at Mile 295.5.

      03/29/2017: FL – GIWW – ST. ANDREWS BAY – Dupont Bridge – Rehabilitations – UPDATE
      The repair work continues at the Dupont Bridge crossing the GIWW, mile 295.5, EHL, east side of the St. Andrew Bay, Bay County, Florida. Phase 1 spa ll work will resume on Span 13, moving in a northerly direction. Phase 2 has begun by working on the 4 dolphins first, then removing and replacing vertical timber work within the channel on one side at a time. The main navigation channel is located in Span 16. The fender system on the southeast quadrant was damaged on March 30, 2017, at 3:30 a.m. The channel is 150 feet horizontally, which may be affected by 55 feet
      from the barge measuring 150 feet by 45 feet, which will be spudded inside and outside of the channel at different times. The vertical clearance impact will only be within the work area during repairs. In an emergency, the equipment can be removed with one-hour notice. Assisting will be marine equipment of a 150-foot by 45-foot spud deck barge with supplies and materials. The M/V LLOYD W will be monitoring VHF-FM Channel 16. The project will continue until July 2017. Contractors will work 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, during daylight hours only. In an emergency, contact (850) 874-1500. Mariners should be alert for equipment in the waterway at all times, exercising extreme caution when passing and maintain slowest safe speed to minimize wake.
