[EXPIRED] AICW Dredging and Barge Traffic South of Fernandina Beach On 4/1/13, Statute Miles 720-731
The project described below involves barge traffic begins in Kingsley Creek, a very narrow leg of the Waterway that starts at Statute Mile 720, and ends at mile 731 in Sawpit Creek south of Nassau Sound.
GEORGIA-FLORIDA-INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY-ST SIMONS SOUND TO TOLOMATO RIVER: Construction Project on Crane Island.
Harry Pepper & Associates, a division of EMCOR will be transporting sandy material on or about April 1, 2013 in the Jacksonville, Florida Intracoastal Waterway area from approximately Kingsley Creek Cut DBN 18 (LLNR 30835) to approximately Sawpit Creek LT 48 (LLNR 38185). This is a construction Project on Crane Island. Operations will be daylight hours only 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. The Tug `WICHITA’ will service the three barges in rotation. One spud barge will be stationary at Crane Island with a conveyor and an excavator. The 3 transport barges will be in rotation (loading/hauling/unloading). The barges will monitor VHF channels 13 & 16.
