[EXPIRED] 5th Annual Mayors’ 49th Street Cleanup & 4th Annual Chiefs’ Chat Community Forum! Oct 13, City of Gulfport, Fl, Boca Ciega Bay
On October 13th, please join Mayor Sam Henderson of Gulfport and Mayor Rick Kriseman of St.Petersburg as they co-host the 5th Annual Mayors’ 49th Street Cleanup. After the cleanup, join Chief Rob Vincent of Gulfport and Chief Tony Holloway of St.Petersburg as they host the 4th Annual Chiefs’ Chat Community Forum. Two community events celebrating “one street, two cities, one goal – collaboration.” The cleanup is about more than picking up litter. It is a celebration of community and it is about collaboration of the neighborhoods along 49th Street. Residents from all areas of both cities are encouraged to participate. This event affords all the opportunity to come out and meet neighbors, from both communities and while also making a difference! The communities of Gulfport and St.Petersburg should not be divided by anything more than four lanes of asphalt. Immediately after the clean up Police Chief Rob Vincent and Police Chief Tony Holloway will host the 4th Annual Chiefs’ Chat Community Forum. They will be joined by Pinellas County Schools Chief of Police, Luke Williams. This event is an informal and relaxed way to learn more about how all of the departments work together and it also provides an opportunity for residents to ask questions of the Chiefs and gather information! Last but not least, the Urban Gypsies Of Florida will kick off the event and energize the volunteers, as only they can, with their innovative combination of Tribal, Gypsy, Disco, Bluegrass, 70’s Rock, Folk and Funk. The event takes place on the Tangerine Greenway on 49th Street South at Tangerine Avenue. Cleanup participants will be divided into four teams and will clean 49th Street and its adjacent alleys from the Pinellas Trail to Gulfport Blvd./22nd Avenue. The most unusual item collected, will garner the “Golden Picker” award. There will be activities for the children. A light breakfast will be served and after the clean up there will be a 5th Anniversary cake, pop corn and ice cream. 8:15 AM Registration, mingle and light breakfast. 9:00 AM Mayor’s Welcome 9:15 AM Cleanup begins 10:30 AM Chiefs’ Chat Please be a part of this great collaborative community event and make this 5th Anniversary the biggest ever.
