| Foundations of Art: Sip, Chat & Paint Holiday Edition Monday, December 12th | 6 p.m. Gulfport Senior Center, 5501 27th Ave. S. Students will create two small holiday themed paintings. This is a great way to create an original work of art you’ll be proud to hang on your wall. Class is held in the spacious dining hall at the Senior Center. Refreshments are included: Each guest will receive an individually wrapped charcuterie plate and we’ll be pouring from a selection of wines. Bottled water and soft drinks will also be provided. | Get Readier for Hurricanes with the My Safe Florida Home Program! The My Safe Florida Home Program, passed by the Florida Legislature in 2022, will provide eligible Florida homeowners the ability to obtain free home inspections that would identify storm mitigation measures and provide grants to retrofit homes, hardening properties from storm damage and helping decrease the cost of residential property insurance in the state. The application process for free wind mitigation home inspections and up to $10,000 in storm mitigation grants for Florida homeowners is now open. | Your gift to Operation Santa 2022 For 31 years, Gulfport Police Department employees have sponsored a program called “Operation Santa” in which toys are donated to needy children that live in the City of Gulfport. Operation Santa has always been very successful in great part, to the community’s contributions. We would again like to ask businesses, organizations and individuals for your help in the form of donations, i.e. monetary, new unwrapped toys, and gift cards. Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Donations can be dropped off at the Gulfport Police Department, located at 2401 53rd Street South. |

Operation Santa registration It’s that time of year again! Santa is putting his list together for this year. If you are a Gulfport resident and could use a little help, the Gulfport Police Department is now accepting applications for Christmas assistance November 28th through December 14th, 2022 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at 2401 53rd Street S. Gulfport. Each family’s head of household must bring photo identification, proof of Gulfport residence as well as the name(s) and age(s) of child(ren) living in the home. Operation Santa will collect Christmas gifts for children ages 0 to 10 years of age. There will be no home deliveries and you must pick up your gifts by appointment at the Police Department from December 19-20, 2022. |

| Veterans Park Memorial Ribbon Campaign The Gulfport Senior Center Foundation will be installing a memorial ribbon in the Gulfport Veterans Park as a fundraiser to support programs and services of the Senior Center. The meandering ribbon of engraved bricks will connect the sidewalk to the flagpole base at the beautiful waterfront park. The public is invited to purchase a brick to honor or memorialize a friend or family member, veteran or non-veteran. Engraved bricks will be a permanent part of the Gulfport Veterans Memorial Park. |

| The City of Gulfport Private Waterline and Sewer Lateral Replacement Assistance Program offers financial reimbursement after the replacement of a deteriorated residential waterline or sewer lateral. City Utilities residential water or sewer customers are eligible for a rebate of 50% up to $3,500.00 after the purchase, installation, and inspection of failing waterlines or sewer lateral between the home connection and the city connection. |
