Hurricane Irma Report from Fort Myers by Marv Market

Our thanks to Loopers Marv and Carol Market for sharing this Forum report of their experience on the Okeechobee during Hurricane Irma. Marv is the author of Marv’s Weather Service.

On September 10th when hurricane Irma headed right up the length of the state of Florida here at Fort Myers we took a direct hit .. the eye of Irma went right over Fort Myers .. we were without power for over two days etc .. yes we struggled to get our free daily reports out and did not miss one report deadline ..

Prior to the storm we had moved out of our condo to help two elderly gals that were really nervous about being alone during the storm .. at this time we are back at our condo and have our weather service totally back online ..

Bottom line your Gulf crossing – at this time if you are heading down our river system and are planning for your Gulf crossing we are now ready to help you out with our seven day buoy reports .. check out our service at .. and sign up for our free service ..
