      Hello!

Since January was so snowy and icy, we’ve gone ahead and scheduled the remainder of January along with February. Here is what’s coming up:

      Denizens of the Dismal, Auditorium
      Sat, 01/20/2018 – 11:00am
      Sat, 02/10/2018 – 2:00pm
      Sat, 02/17/2018 – 11:00am
Join the ranger for a short indoor talk about the many fascinating animals that call the Swamp home. You will be able to see mounts, skulls, and tracks. There will also be touchable pelts.

      Something’s Fishy, Auditorium
      Sat, 02/03/2018 – 2:00pm
Introducing to our 2018 educational theme…FISH! Learn a little bit about the different species of fish that inhabit the swamp and about the Japanese art form Gyotaku, or fish-printing. Make your own fish print to take home. (And we’ll do it from the comfort and warmth of the indoors.)

      Winter Tree ID, Auditorium
      Sat, 02/24/2018 – 2:00pm
If you would like to learn how to identify tricky winter trees, come to this workshop to find out what other clues you can use to find out which tree is which!
**Dress for the weather—we will go outside for about 30 minutes!**

      See you in the park!

**Save the date–Dismal Swamp State Park turns 10 years old on March 21, 2018!**
