LNM: AICW MM 1085 Temporary Deviation Extended, 79th St Bridge, Miami, FL
FLORIDA – AICW – BISCAYNE BAY – West 79th Street BRIDGE: Bridge Rehab / Temporary Deviation
Quinn Construction, on behalf of the bridge owner FDOT, will be rehabilitating the West 79th Street Bridge over the AICW mile 1084.6, Miami, FL. The project consists of pontoon boats as well as a work float but is not anticipated to affect or impede navigation through the federal navigation channel (bascule bridge span).
Under this temporary deviation, the West 79th Street Bridge is authorized to operate as follows from May 8, 2023, through June 30, 2023, Monday through Friday:
– From 9.:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.:00 a.m.,. Monday through Friday, the drawbridge is allowed to remain closed to navigation, except that full openings will be provided with a 4-hour notice to the bridge tender.
– At all other times, the drawbridge shall operate per 33 CFR 117.261(mm-1) providing full openings.
