In an area of confusingly numbered markers, the added channel buoy 20A is on the east side of the channel just north of channel buoy 10. Note that lighted buoy 20 northwest of the inlet is not a Teaches Hole Channel marker. Teaches Hole Channel connects the village of Ocracoke with Ocracoke Inlet.
