Shinn Creek connects Masonboro Inlet with the Waterway just south of Wrightsville Beach. This dredging will be in the Waterway itself and will require extra caution in the vicinity of dredge equipment.

NC – ATLANTIC INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY – SHINN CREEK CROSSING – COAST GUARD STATION WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH – DREDGING
Southwind Construction Corp will be conducting dredging operations in the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, Shinn Creek Crossing area and at Coast Guard Station Wrightsville Beach. Dredging will begin 1 Apr and is expected to be completed 21 Apr 2019. The dredge JENNI LEA and vessels ANN KAY and DANNY JOE will be on scene and an may be contacted on VHF-FM channels 13 and 16.
