Local Gulf boaters are accustomed to military drills in their waters, but this one – with anchored mannequins – is a bit different!

FL – GULF OF MEXICO – PENSACOLA – Military Operations
The U.S. Coast Guard Research and Development Center will be conducting a military exercise in the Gulf of Mexico, south of Pensacola, FL., from June 16, 2018 until June 18, 2018. The U.S. Coast Guard will have mannequins or simulated persons wearing life jackets anchored in the water. Mariners are urged to use caution when transiting the area, keep a sharp lookout and do not disturb these anchored test objects.
