This speed restriction is to remind spectator boats that navigating after dark in crowded anchorages can be be deadly. Keep a sharp watch and hold down your speed.

FLORIDA – AICW – MIAMI – BISCAYNE BAY – REGULATED NAVIGATION AREA
The Coast Guard will enforce a Regulated Navigation Area (33 CFR§165.779) from 9 p.m. December 31st until 2 a.m. January 1st. The regulated area includes all navigable waters within Biscayne Bay from approximately Julia Tuttle Causeway south to Turkey Point. Vessels will be required to transit the regulated area at no more than 15 knots.
