    • [EXPIRED] LNM: Safety Zone, Nov 5-18, Cooper River, off the AICW from Charleston Harbor, SC


      This safety zone is well north of Charleston Harbor and will be of concern only to cruisers wishing to explore the upper Cooper River. Our thanks to Officer Jeromy Sherrill for this notice.

      Sector Charleston Command Center, we request 2-hour broadcast Notice to Mariner beginning at 0600 on November 5, 2018 and ending 2200 on November 18, 2018 stating the following: “Hazardous condition — Explosives operation at Joint Base Charleston Wharf Alpha”

      Joint Base Charleston will be conducting explosive operations at Wharf Alpha on the Cooper River above Goose Creek beginning November 5, 2018 through November 18, 2018. Mariners are advised that a Naval Vessel Protection Zone exists around all U.S. Naval Vessels greater than 100 feet in length at all times in the navigable waters of the United States. Mariners are urged to use caution while transiting the area.
