LNM: Schedule Deviation for Long-term Maintenance, Centerville Tpk Bridge, AICW Statute Miles 15.2
Expect delays as maintenance obstructions within the single span opening occur. Contact with the bridge tender or work vessels on VHF 13. With a closed vertical clearance of 3ft, the Centerville Turnpike Bridge crosses the Waterway at statue mile 15.2.

DRAWBRIDGE OPERATING SCHEDULE DEVIATION
Maintenance at the Centerville Turnpike (SR-170) Bridge across the Albemarle and Chesapeake Canal, Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, mile 15.2, at Chesapeake, VA began on Monday, May 13, 2019, and is scheduled to end on Friday, September 18, 2020. Bridge maintenance will be performed in six phases and updated notices will be published prior to each phase.
Phase I, scheduled from 6 a.m. on May 13, 2019, through 8:30 p.m. on August 23, 2019. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The bridge will remain operational in accordance with Title 33 Code of Federal Regulations Part 117.997(i). Vessels may contact the bridge tender on VHF-FM channel 13 or (757) 547-3631. Vessels may contact work vessels or the project foreman on VHF-FM channel 13 or (757) 620-3565.
Phase II, scheduled from 6 a.m. on August 24, 2019, through 11:59 p.m. on November 3, 2019. Work hours are 7 days/week, from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.. The swing span of the bridge will be maintained in the open-to-navigation position. During work hours, bridge maintenance vessels and barges will occupy the navigation span, reducing the horizontal clearance to approximately 40 feet. Bridge maintenance vessels and barges will relocate from the navigation span, upon request, for commercial vessels carrying liquefied flammable gas or other hazardous materials and emergency vessels as defined in 33 CFR 117.31; and all vessels upon request, if at least a onehour notice is given. Vessels may contact work vessels or the project foreman on VHF-FM channel 13 or (757) 620-3565. A bridge tender will not be stationed at the bridge.
Mariners should adjust their transits accordingly, keep a safe distance from the work vessels and barges, and use extreme caution when transiting the area. Chart 12206 LNM 33/19
