      2nd Annual Ride for Rosehaven This Weekend!

      The second annual Ride for Rose Haven: Supporting Women Veterans bicycle ride takes place in Washington, North Carolina this Saturday, May 4. The Ride for Rose Haven offers a choice of day rides (30, 60 and 100 mile) that start and end on the picturesque waterfront in Washington, NC and each ride tours the scenic North Carolina Inner Banks.

      The Hackney, located in downtown Washington, has now launched their Afternoon Tea, as well as their Sunday Roast! Afternoon Tea at the Hackney is available Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm featuring Dammann Freres tea, house made cakes, eclairs and scones. Sunday Roast is available on Sundays from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.

      River Roving Boat Tours Are Back!

      The ever popular River Roving Boat tours offered by the NC Estuarium are back in full swing! These boat tours cruise the Pamlico River Wednesday through Friday at 10:30am and 1:30pm, and Saturdays at 10:30am. No admission fee or other cost is involved for the tour, but advance reservations are required. Riders should check in 15 minutes in advance.  Children must be at least 6 years old to ride; a responsible adult must accompany children under 16.  Call 252-948-0000 for reservations.
