      An earlier posting here on the "Northern Gulf" page of the Cruisers' Net related the closing of the bridge crossing the Rigolets (the easiest and most convenient route from the ICW to Lake Pontchartrain), due to fire. I have now removed that earlier note, as it is superceded by the posting below. Happily, the bridge is once again operating!

      Below, find the current situation for the Hwy 90 – Rigolets bridge:

      Mr. Trousdale,
      The Rigolets Pass Bridge reopened to marine traffic this past Monday afternoon, according to DOTD Bridge Engineer Fred Wetekamm. It is true that the bridge had been closed because of an electrical fire that occurred on Jan. 21. The bridge is now fully operational.
