These dive operations are west of the Savannah River/Waterway intersection and should be of concern to cruisers visiting downtown Savannah.
GEORGIA ‘“ SAVANNAH RIVER ‘“ OGLETHORPE RANGE: ACOE, DIVE OPS
The Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) will be conducting dive operations in the area of Barnwell Island Flats Lighted Buoy 52A on the Savannah River, Savannah, GA. This operation will be carried out at various times during daylight hours, 7 days a week, beginning January 9, 2015 and ending in June of 2015. Mariners are urged to exercise caution and transit at their slowest safe speed while transiting this area. For further information, contact the U.S. Coast Guard at (912) 247-0073.
