There are a number of boatyards and marinas that would be affected by this closure, including the popular Cooley’s Landing Municipal Docks. With a 4ft closed vertical clearance, the FEC bridge crosses the New River 1.7 miles west of AICW statute mile 1065.

Bridge Repairs/Closures.
The Coast Guard will allow the FEC Railroad Bridge across the New River, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to not open to navigation from 12:01 a.m., Saturday, February 11 through 12:01 a.m., Thursday, February 23, 2017 to facilitate repairs. Chart 11467 LNM 01/17
